Bantah PPSMI - No more!

Di UPSI saya rasa bertuah kerana pernah bersua-muka dengan dua orang personel yang amat konsisten di dalam usaha untuk menggugurkan perlaksanaan PPSMI. Semoga usaha ini akan membuka lembaran yang lebih luas demi untuk memajukan anak bangsa Melayu-Islam dan rakyat Malaysia keseluruhannya. Mereka ialah 2 orang Profesor Emeritus yang sedang berkhidmat di universiti kami iaitu :

Prof Emeritus Dato' Dr. Isahak Haron

Prof. Emeritus Dr. Abdullah Hassan

Prof. Emeritus Dato’ Dr. Isahak Haron sangat terkenal dengan kajian beliau mengenai PPSMI yang telus dan menongkah arus.  Beliau yang bersifat “low-profile” telah bertungkus-lumus mempertahankan kajian beliau dan telah mencuba meyakinkan banyak pihak mengenainya termasuk menjajanya kepada mereka yang berada di persada politik.

Prof. Emeritus Dr. Abdullah Hassan begitu berani, cekal dan pragmatik dengan bantahan beliau terhadap PPSMI. Beliau telah turun ke pentas jalanan untuk menyampaikan mesejnya secara jelas.

Hasil kesabaran dan ketekunan dua orang tokoh yang sekarang menetap di UPSI ini akhirnya menemui titik cahaya di hujung terowong. Kedua-dua tokoh ini boleh dijadikan teladan hidup kerana mereka berdua saya klasifikasikan “sangat mahir” berkomunikasi di dalam Bahasa Inggeris tetapi begitu indah tutur-kata mereka apabila berbicara di dalam Bahasa Ibunda - Bahasa Melayu.

Kepada 2 tokoh ini dan pihak lain yang telah bertungkus-lumus melakukan analisa, meluahkan pendapat sehingga akhirnya termansuh PPSMI…semoga usaha anda mendapat ganjaran daripada-Nya.

New sem - Let's start with a Bang!

I think I’ve to extend my hertfelt apology for the late greeting on the new semester commencement.  For this July 2009 intake UPSI had received about 2000++ new students for ISMP and quite the same number for DP. So all together the number rises to 4000++ freshies. I’d like to welcome them all!

On top that I’d like to accept gladly :

1. MTI 6023 student(s)

2. MTR 3013 students and

3. KPT 5033 students

4. My MTP 3013 and 3023 students

Welcome back..greeting with smiles!

The new semester is on. It’s with great excitement and enthusiasm with which I welcome you to UPSI and FTMK.

For those who registered for MTI 6023, we’ll meet soon. Insya’Allah.

Prior to that,  I’d like to announce that our first class will only commence on 27th June 2009 4th July 2009 instead of 20th June 27th June which some courses did.

Alhamdulillah and wow it’s a good news…indeed. 2 more seats are being offered to us. Muhammad ‘Afiffi and Chew Sween Wen had agreed to accept the bid vis-a-vis facing the challenge in the “regimented”  program. So now FTMK had altogether 9 participants seeking for a decent experience over there. Good Luck!

The prestige Infosys FP training will be on course for the third time this year. Although the batch will not fly to Banglore, India as their seniors did but the training standard will be carefully uphold by the host, Universiti Teknikal Melaka Malaysia (UTeM ) which is unarguably the most experience and succesfull IPT when it comes to conduct the program locally.

As such, as the SPoC @ USPI I’m honoured to annouce that seven of my faculty students had been selected to attend the training.  Sincerely, I’m very proud of them and I do hope they will enjoy the training while grabbing as much knowledge as they could during their stint over there.
